Yvonne was born a native New Yorker,
but her soul was raised in the hills of provincial Italy and along the
dark alleyways of cosmopolitan France. Her heart was reared on the works
of the masters she counts among her highest influences: Michelangelo,
Monet, Manet, Renoir, Fantin-LaTour - the unparalleled pantheon of Renaissance
visionaries and the Impressionistic painters that followed. She is drawn
in particular to the architecture of those time-ripened regions, and the
hues with which age has colored these dwellings that once belonged to
European gentry and nobility. And yet, the quiet cottages of a pastoral
countryside demonstrate a similarly palpable pull. Yvonne's
work has garnered a following that, to no surprise, now reaches back across
the Atlantic towards those same seasoned parts of the world that have
always served to inspire her. She teaches and sells art privately, both
on commission and over the Internet. Today she lives in Port Jefferson,
NY, known for among other things, its enclave of eclectic artists. Among
her most insistent of muses, she credits her Aunt Noemi - who provided
the encouragement to turn budding dreams into an ever-blossoming reality.
By Samuel Custodio
"Despite all of the inspiration God's beautiful creation has provided,
there is none greater than His scacrifice of laying down the life His
only begotten Son for me, that I may be able to receive salvation. I create
out of a heart that overflows with gratitude and love for my Savior."
